Most ComEd customers who are considered low to middle income don’t realize they qualify for financial assistance to help cover their energy bills. Even worse, 90% of those considered lower income made sacrifices on other necessities like groceries and medicine to pay their energy bills, and 68% conserved energy to uncomfortable levels in order to save energy.

Everyone deserves access to affordable energy and ComEd goes the extra mile to provide customers with bill assistance options. While a little help can go a long way, nobody wants to feel or be seen as helpless. When people receive assistance, whether financial or otherwise, they may feel inspired to pass it on.
